There’s a couple of new ID’s out for action sports channel Fuel TV and I really love this “making of surfboard” by Brand New School.

The ever so awesome Art of the Title Sequence have an interview up with Steve Tozzi, the guy behind the intro for Davis Guggenheim’s 2009 “guitar” documenatary “It Might Get Loud“. I’m not really a guitar kind of person but the opening with Jack White of The White Stripes building an instrument out of a wooden plank and a Coke bottle is really great.

MK12 just opened a site for their in-house project called Telephoneme. And it comes with a great looking font, free for download.

I just love Blockhead, and I sure love this video for the track “The Music Scene” from his latest album with the same title. Anthony Francisco Schepperd really have a great and unique style, doing mostly all of his work in Flash.

Don’t think I’ve ever use the word ‘cute’ to describe a video before. But what the hell. What else could you say about this stop motion piece about a kid and his AT-AT Walker. Damn how I want one.

I haven’t seen the series myself yet, mainly because I don’t want to taint my memories of the masterpiece that is Band of Brothers, but the intro sequence is more than worth a watch. Summer is kicking in, and what could be a better way to celebrate this than with a new Spotify Playlist. Cubadust – Side Four is a massive 23 track long playlist with artists like The Herbaliser, Tobacco, Casino Versus Japan, J Dilla and Diplo. Always Diplo. Basically this means that it’s all electronic with bits and pieces of instrumental hip hop tracks thrown in to the mix. Favorite tune right now – MC Esoterics instrumental beats or any of J Dillas three tunes. Or Factor’s Muddy Road Walking.. Take your pick.

A couple of days late with this but worth posting none the less. Wieden+Kennedy’s new Nike commercial “Write the future” is one of the best executed spots I’ve seen in a long time. Great story telling with a healthy portion of humor. Using Ronaldinho as the player for the Brazilian team maybe wasn’t the smartest choice though as he didn’t make the squad… And even that Sweden somehow managed to miss to qualify for the tournament I’m getting psyched as hell. The World Cup is just around the corner!

UNKLE owns me, and they own me hard. Here’s the first video from their newly released album Where Did The Night Fall, directed by Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones staring Liberty Ross. Album of the year.

And speaking of Nico and These Days – one of the best scenes from a movie. Ever. The Royal Tenenbaums.

A day old or so by now but I really love Romain Gavras video for M.I.A’s Born Free. Political and provocative with a great kick in the stomach feeling. Nice to see someone that use the medium to actually try to say something. In the best of worlds more directors would go in this direction. Not necessarily with a political agenda, but it’s refreshing to actually have a music video where the director use it as an artistic outlet without half a dozen background dancer and newly leased Bentleys.
